We do not use AI
There is no artificial intelligence in this product. Not in the tools, not in the site, not behind the scenes.
We state this plainly because "AI-powered" is now assumed, and because the absence has consequences you may care about:
- Nothing you type is sent to an AI provider. Not OpenAI, not Anthropic, not Google, not anyone else.
- Nothing you type trains a model. Ours or anyone's. We could not contribute your input to training even if asked, because we do not retain it.
- No output is generated. Every result is computed by ordinary, deterministic code. The same input produces the same output, every time, for reasons a person can read in the source.
- No profiling and no automated decisions. We make no inference about you and take no automated decision that affects you.
Why the tools are deterministic
This is a design choice, not a limitation we intend to remove casually. When you convert a unit, hash a string, or calculate a payment, you want the right answer — not a plausible one. A language model is the wrong instrument for arithmetic with a correct answer.
If this ever changes
If we add a feature that uses AI, we will:
- update this page before the feature ships, not after;
- say which provider processes the data, and what is sent;
- label the feature clearly wherever it appears;
- keep it separate from the deterministic tools, so it is always obvious which kind you are using;
- never use your input to train a model without your explicit, separate, opt-in consent.
